Originally this contest was for just the Facebook group, but seeing that others would like to have the contest include those who do not have a Flickr or FB account, we'll open up the contest here. However, the time alloted will be limited to a little less than a week.
Hello everyone! It has been a while, but now, it is time for another of Piece Out's contests!
For this contest, the MOCs entered have to use a color scheme in which the colors clash. The idea is to take a supposedly "bad" color scheme, and make it look good. This will challenge you to balance both the MOC's appearance and colors.
There will be a minimum of 4 different colors required.
Maximum ratio of 35% system to 65% Bionicle/Technic/Hero Factory parts.
Black will not count towards the color minimum.
Also, different shades of silver/dark grey/light grey will not count towards the requirement.
Lastly, if you use 2 or more "neutral colors" (white, dark grey, dark grey, gunmetal, silver, or any other shades of these colors), it will only count as 1 color to the requirement.
So if a MOC only had black, white, dark grey, and silver, then it would have 1 color counted towards the requirement, and therefore be ineligible to enter the contest.
Here are some color scheme examples examples (note, not all of the examples follow the color minimum):
Simple/common color schemes are also unallowed. Weapons will not count towards the color minimum. And all colors used must be noticeable and fairly prominent. If you are going to use color accents, then there must be enough to qualify it as a color for the requirement.
Example, green eyes does not count toward the requirement, but a green arm would.
The deadline will be the 20th of February! No further extensions will be provided.
Please leave a comment linking to your entry here. Otherwise it will not be counted.
Leave a message here and an Admin will try to help out! Good luck everyone.
